Ulcer(s)?

by squeala7, Jul 18, 2002 12:00AM
I was curious if anyone else had these symptoms - I was admitted to the ER for chest pain - generalized across my breastbone and sometimes just on the left side  - pain that was persistent and would not go away with ANYTHING. I took ibuprofen of course for pain and duh - it didnt go away? Silly me - I thought I had a pulled rib or something. At any rate - my heart checked out fine - so now he thinks I have ulcers or some sort of stomach problem. Does anyone else have these symptoms and have any idea of what it is? I wont be able to see a gasto Dr for a month. I have been taking vicadin (1/2 pill) for pain and man that really knocks it out - but generally about an hour after I eat, the chest pain comes - and I really dont have any sort of reflux (that Im feeling) in my throat. Does anyone else just have the isolated chest pain with no other symptoms really? Sometimes my stomach feels a bit gassy - but no big deal - my stomach really does feel FINE _ thats whats wierd about it / can you have an ulcer or inflamation (inflammation) down there with no stomach pain or reflux symptoms? The dr said it could happen and I could be feeling it all in my esophogus - could it be the esophagus is inflamed? Thanks for any ideas or suggestions on what I should be eating to heal this up!!! He said to let it "heal".  Thanks!
