I had a Kidney stone out of the blue one day, and had ESWL lithotripsyLithotripsy Lithotripsy procedure to break it up after 3 weeks of trying to pass it on my own. After that passed, I thought my battle was over but I continued to have abdominal pain. I had several KUB X-rays, urineCalcium - urine Calcium urine test Chloride - urine Cortisol - urine Electrolytes - urine Glucose test - urine Hcg in urine Ketones - urine Kidney - blood and urine flow Lh urine test (home test) Ph urine test studies, and IVPs performed and the urologist sent me back to my PCP for diagnostic testing.
Over several months, I had a gallbladder ultrasound (clearClear by design Clear eyes Clear eyes acr Clear eyes clr Clear-atadine Clear-atadine children's), a colonoscopy (normalNormal saline flush), a EDG (gastritis), and a CAT scan with contrast (normalNormal saline flush). With nothing to explain the pain, I had a biliary nuclear dye study performed which didn't show my gallbladder until I was injected with morphine. I had the gallbladder removed, and the abdominal pain persisted. The pathology on the bladder did show inflammation that was also confirmed by the surgeon having to "peal" it off of my intestines.
Now that it is gone, I'm still having the unexplained abdominal pain. The pain is basically all upper right quadrant pain, but I also have it radiating into my back and down my side. I'm visiting a GI specialist, but all of the IBS medication he gives me doesn't do a thing (I don't have IBS). I've repeated several tests (blood, edg) and had a full general abdominal ultrasound which came back normal. My GI doctor is trying to see if I have a sphincter of oddi (SOD) issue, but none of my blood works suggests a dysfunction (I'd be type III if I had it).
The few symptoms that no one can explain (beyond the unexplained abdominal/side/back pain) is a constant itching feeling and swelling in my hands. The itching was actually the first symptom I had (even before the kidney stone), and was told it was dermographism (but I dont welt up like those I've seen online).
Anyone heard of anything close to this? The medical community and I are at a total loss. This has been plaguing me for over a year now.
