Unexplained stomachache

Hello everyone!

                 I have an 11yr old  daughter that has been having reaccuring stomach aches in the middle of her stomach right around her belly button. I have taken her to the doctor, the er and they have found nothing. The doctor before said he thought it was a stomach virus, then taking her back again for the same issue another doctor said to take her to the ER of which I did and they found nothing. Now she is having the stomach pain again, this time with a slight fever ( she has a cold also). She has not been vommiting, or had diareea.I am taking her back to the doctor again today, and I am going to recommend that she see a GI specialist. I have been searching and searching for answers, one of them I read is that it may be nerves? Can anyone offer me some advice?

      I took my daughter to the doctor yesterday and he did a thorough examination and said he basically thinks it could be something to do with her diet, or it could be stress at school. He strongly advised against having a CT scan done since just a couple months ago she had one done at the ER. Does anyone have any thoughts on my daughters situation? Thank you.

I completely agree with you on seeking the advice of a GI.  At 11 it could be stress, nervousness, but not with a fever.  If her cold is severe enough, it would caught a slight rise in temperature.  I would rule out any physical problems, and if all is well, address if she is stressed about something, but even this doesn't explain the pain that far down in her stomach.  Did they check her for appendicitis?  This can be a gradual thing that starts with pain around the navel moving to the right side.  I'm glad you're insisting that you get answers!!!
