Unusual Lump

by sunseta, Jun 01, 2002 12:00AM
My husband is 47 and was recently diagnosed with colon cancer.  He is undergoing chemotherapy and will be finished with his treatments after this next week.  He had a restructure of his colon and it fortunately did not require a coloscopy.  He had 1 lymph node out of 14 that was infected.

My question regards a small, hard moveable lump that was found on his penis.  I know this sounds strange and he is going to see his doctor but everytime some type of "possible sympton" appears I get extremely anxious.  Is this something we should be alarmed about?  I have felt lumps at health seminars that are supposed to be similar to the lumps you feel in your breast and this lump he has feels just like it.

I hope you can ease my worry but if not I would sure like to know what it could possibly be other than a tumor.

Thanks for your response.

It's probably a sebaceous cyst - harmless. Happens when a sweat gland gets clogged. They can be removed easily
