First off this has been ongoing for a year. With several trips to the ER, consults and doctors appointments i feel at my wits ends. I have abdominal pain for quite a while now. I was referred to an OBGYN for followup from numerous miscarriages
with my doctor thinking this could be the problem. The OBGYN did a laproscopic procedure and said everything looked fine but that my gallbladder was larger than normal and to discuss this with my primary
procedure and colonoscopy. That is scheduled for March of htis year finally. During this time I have went to the ER several times not being able to get in to see my doctor. The reasons for the ER visits was one - Friends of mine had to come and get me out of bed and carry me to the hospital i could not straighten our or move without horrible pain in my abdomen under my rib
cage and in my belly area. After long hours in the hospital they said it was probably just gas and gave me pain meds. Second Time in ER - severe abdominal pain, the insited on a gyno exam and said nothing seemed emergent and sent me home with pain meds, this i was very upset about saying this was not the problem. Third - Abdominal pain with coughing, sent home with cough syrup. I began having chest pain with deep breaths about 10 weeks ago. Follow up with my doctor resulted in an Xray showing nothing wrong. He prescribed an anti inflammortory, saying it was probably chondchritis or something like that, and pain meds, more pain meds!!! geezz Well i have returned several times for this same pain and he wanted to do pain management therapy saying it was multiskeletal. I mentioned about the upper abdominal pain and the gall bladder and he said in 10 years he has never heard of the two being related. So now i have had a CT scan as of yesterday. My doctor has blocked me from making appointments with his office online which i have only done once in a year and has blocked me now from viewing my records online. I was a bit irritated last time i called in to follow up and tell them i am in intense pain with my chest and he said if it is that bad go back to the ER. I don't know what to do, i just lay in bed miserable with each day passing by just crying, I can't take the pain anymore, and wish for something more than just pain meds. I haven't taken them in several weeks, and live off of tylenol daily which does nothing for the pain. Please -- Anyone who can suggest something!!! I am a military spouse - I have Tricare Prime - I do have a civilian Doctor and the time it takes to change doctors i feel i will be waiting another year and suffering with this. What has happened to our medical community?
I do have a picture of the laproscopic surgery showing what was said to be my gallbladder, but i do not know if this is it or not, if you would like to see htis i have it posted in my pictures on my profile. Any help would be appreciated.
