Upper abdominal pain after gastroscopy, how long can it last?

I had a gastroscopy two days ago. During the two days I have had sometimes, especially after the meals, some upper abdominal pain. I had no such pain before the gastroscopy. Is it normal and how long can it last? The doctor did not mention such a side effect. The doctor took two samples from the gastric mucosa. Can I get long lasting gastric ulcers at the sampling sites?

I had somewhat atrophic gastric  mucosa. The doctor said that it is due to my age 68 years.
