Ventrical Hernia

Ventrical Hernia

I had my first hernia repair in 1998.  The mesh didn't hold and had emergency strangulated hernia surgery.  The surgeon put a perminate sucture, i know I spelled that wrong.  But, that was in 2003.  Now, the hernia is back, same spot, and I have what looks like a black thread coming out of my belly button, which is just below where the surgery was.  Is it possible that the perminate sucture has come undone and is working its way out?  I know this sounds crazy, but I am having prolems eating certain foods, like meat and yeast and my bn are abnormal and I have never had that problem before except with my previous hernia's.  Thank you to anyone with info on this.
