Vomiting - Lactose Intolerance

I saw a post on here a few years ago by someone with similar conditions.  Over the past 2 years I've noticed that immediately after a meal with dairy I will start sweating, feel faint, vomit and diarrhea.  It does not occur every single time (at least with cheese) but I have narrowed the common source as dairy as it happened with egg nog and vanilla ice cream.  I've never heard of vomiting as a symptom of lactose intolerance, especially at my age as this is something that just developed.  For a few months now (4 months to be exact), at the advise of my Gastroenterologist I've cut out the dairy that I'm certain I get sick from and have not had any problems.  The Gastroenterologist believed it may be lactose intolerence but is puzzled by the vomiting reaction.  Has anyone else experienced vomiting as a symptom of lactose intolerence?
