Weight gain after having a sigmoid colectomy

by tking718, Jun 24, 2008 07:35AM
I am 36 year old female who just recently had part of my colon removed.  I have gained weight since my surgery, which was 5/14/08.  I have a very slow metabolism.  I have to do high impact exercises at least 3 times a week just to maintain my weight.  Although I'm on a high fiber diet, without being able to excerise, I am continually gaining weight.  I even walk twice a day.  My docotor says at this time walking is all I am able to do.   I'm just wondering if weight gain is normal after having this type of surgery.

This discussion is related to weight gain.
