Weight loss surgery

by Ella0, Oct 13, 2008 07:12PM
I am 28 years old. I have struggled with my weight for almost as long as I remember! My weight yo-yo's a lot. I am tired of living my life worrying about what I eat and constantly gaining weight having to diet to get it off. Which never works. I have tried all kinds of diets and pills to no avail. My BMI is 32. Is there any kind of surgery that I can get to help my not worry about this anymore. I would like to lose about 20 kg and keep it off.

You may want to consider gastric banding since it is less invasive than some other techniques. However, just like any other surgery, there are drawbacks to this method. You need to sit down with a good bariatric person and discuss the options.
