I would like your help if you can. I am on my last rope. I just wanted a basic CA125 count - it showed CA125 count was elevated - Back in Sept, 2003 my plateletPlatelet associated antibodies Platelet count count was 115 All my other were counts on the low side also - WBCWbc count 3.7, HGB 13.4, HCT 41.2, MCV 79.2, RBCRbc count Rbc indices 5.2. Went to my mothers cancer doctor at the time - they did scan and it showed enlargedEnlarged adenoids Enlarged prostatespleenEnlarged spleen Liver and spleen cysts - ct scan Liver scan Spleen metastasis - ct scan Spleen removal Spleen removal - series Splenomegaly and an enlargedEnlarged adenoids Enlarged prostate liver. I am a fat person. Was sent to Gastro doctor in Albany, NY - was told "what are you doing here wasting my time and your time" and left and never went back to him. Well I sent to an onco. (as the counts are continuing to get lower) doctor Dr. Dunn in Albany, NY in March of 2006 - Platelet 94, WBC 3.5, HGB 12.6, HCT 37.8, MCV 81, RBC 4.42 - Now I continued to go to the blood doctor, Dr. Dunn - rules out Leukemia and other blood diseases. Now he like me isn't really doing anything but just watching my counts go down down down. Okay 10/7/08 Platelets hit 65 and I said to my primary doctor I don't care where you send me what I have to do - I have been patient enough I want to know what I am dealing with. So he sends me back to the same Gastro Office different Doctor - Dr. Ben in Albany, NY I get an appointment for November. He walks in the room and said you have non-alcoholic cirrhosis of the liver. Now he is just going by the blood counts nothing else as this is all we have at this point. He does tests for all the hepatitis and upper GJ Negative and virtural colonistomy - which showed an inflamed gall bladder. Had Ultrasound and it showed the Gall Bladder was fine. Now through all this I have no other signs. My only complaint is I very very tired all the time. Okay I put myself on a strict diet. I have lost over 30 pounds since November and have a lot more to go. But between 10/7/08 and 12/12/08 my platelet count goes from 65 to 68 so I'm happy happy. Then in 1/23/09 my platelet count goes up to 70 so I'm like this is working but the white count WBC drops to 3.3. I am sent to a nutritionist get an appointment in January takes that long to get an appointment from November - and she is just focusing on losing weight which mind you I have already been doing on my own. I want to go to the nutritionist to find out what is liver friendly and what isn't. I looked on line but I wanted to be certain. As the liver I'm told my problem is. But I can't get her on the same page. So I left there not happy but hey what I'm doing is working as far as the weight goes. Okay I go back to Dr. Ben's office March 9, 2009 and does he take a blood test before the appointment no. He measures the liver by hand with knocking and said the liver is the same size. Which doesn't make me happy but I figured hey it took this long to get this far so I let it go. But any way I got my blood results back and my counts are down even further. My blood counts are; WBC 2.9, HGB 12.9, HCT 37.7, Platelet 61, MCV 89, RBC 4.26. I went to talk to Ben and question him about maybe its not the liver but he is stuck on the liver. I feel distraught and frustrated. Do you have any suggestions as to what and/or whom I should seek for help? Please I want to be on the road to recovery at some point in my life time. I'm tired of being tired and having this hanging over my head - day in and day out.
