Is the liver on the right near your bellybutton?

Upper right side, right under your rib cage- it's above and to the right of your stomack - I think the belly button would be too low.

help me I have the same terrible pain in my right side myright side as I type this. It seems to come and go. A week ago I was so ill with abdome pains that it made me sick and I coul not take it anymore so I went to the emergency room they gave me a shot for pain and a shot for nausea and told me to go home and make an appointment wth a gyno well I have never felt such pain so I figured it was the IUD I had put in sicne this is when it all started (Mireana) I seen the gyno an told him to take it out well the pain and sickness went away but now 3 days later it is starting back on my right side .. what is wrong I cannot live like this I have not been to work for a week/ I was hoping that was the problem but now I am thinking it is something else.. I am scaredand tired of this I just want it to be likie it used to be no pain no nausea... signed scared

Is your right sided pain sharp and grabbing or  dull.  And is it in the lower part of your abdomen down toward the groin, or higher up toward your rib cage.  I think appendicitis sometimes hurts in the right lower part of your abdomen, while gallbladder pain hurts on the right also, but it is usually a sharp grabbing sensation.  Try not to panic.  you will get to the bottom of it.  Do you have an internal medicine doctor?
