What are the causes of elevated liver enzymes

This discussion is related to Cause of Elevated Liver Enzymes.

I am 30 yrs old male and I just had a blood test done where I fasted for 12hrs prior to the test. The resuts show that my Triglycerides is 233. My HDL is 28 and my liver enzymes is slightly elevated. I don't drink and never have before. I wanted to know what's the cause of that slightly elevated liver enzymes? I did have the h. pilory test which i was tested positive for. I had taken my prescription and then retook the h.pilory test and it was negative.  This was a couple of months back. I do have a family history of heart attack and high blood pressure. I do understand the cause of the high triglycerides and I do believe I need to exercise and eat right. I don't understand the cause behind elevated liver enzymes??? Please help!

ur doc will probably have u do another labs in a couple of weeks or so. if it is still high then an ultrasound should follow. if ultrasound shows nothing and liver enzymes still high, then u will be sent to speacialist.

the causes for that are many. could be from diet to medications to liver disease such as fatty liver especially id ur overweifght. But I dont think its anything serious since ur not a drinker. Dont worry just follow up with doctors and whatever it is, it MOST CERTANLY ISNT ANYTHING SERIOUS.

I am dealing with the same issues.  They do not know why my enzymes are high.  They have been high for 2 years.  They are monitoring it , but I am very concerned.  If you know anything thing else that could help I would really appreciate it.
