What are these symptoms? Gallbladder?

Hi, Let me start by saying im a 35 yr old male, weight (253lbs). questions is:

5 yrs ago i started having upper abdominal pains with heartburn right after i had an anxiety attack which my doctor told me that it was. he have me reflux meds and did not seem to work on the heartburn but the abdomen pain went away. at that time he had me go through some blood work - all negatives, upper GI- only had minor small intestinal inflammation, and a ekg which was negative as well.
throughout the 5 yrs i had heart burn on and off , most of the time i woke up in the morning with a pain in my chest so i took my meds mostly in the mornings.

anyhow, about 7 months ago i got home from work with a pain from my upper abdomen through my back and could barely breath, so my wife took me to the emergency room, they did an ultrasound on my abdomen to check i guess gallbladder or liver it was negative. they gave me protonix and it seemed to calm it down, the next day i was fine and only had the minor heartburn here and there and was ok till about 1 month ago.

1 month ago: started having stress at work and home, got an other anxiety attack, right after few more days i began to have these abdominal pains and heartburn again like i did 5 yrs ago. i went to the doctor and he gave me prevacid that didnt help, so a few days after i had severe pain and went back to the emergency, there they did again and ultrasound it was negative, urinalysis negative, blood work negative, an other EKG negative, so they let me go after the pain went away, few days after more pain now the pain went from the abdomen to chest to back all at same time, this happends right after i eat anything and i also get hiccups and start burping a lot. My doctor reffered me to a gastroentorologist i think that how you spell it. so i went he made me do 3 tests ( HIDA scan, Endoscopy, and colonoscopy)

HIDA scan showed my GB working at 8%- Doctor told me i need to have it removed

Endoscopy - Small Hiatal Hernia only

Colonoscopy - Mild Diverticulosis, 2 small hemoriods found

The specialist all these pains are the Gallbladder - my current pain is - Upper abdominal pain, Chest pain radiating to mid back.

question : could all these be this simple little organ causing all this pain im in?

could this be a different matter like the liver, pancreas, possible heart problems?

the doctor said my heart is ok, the EKG was negative, my liver is ok and pancreas and other organs showed negative results in the blood work.

July 23 i get my GB removed, i pray to good this is the cause and that all comes out fine

Well its been two weeks since i had my laparoscopic surgery and the GB is gone, so far no heartburn and no abdominal pain like before. But the back pain and the right side of abdomen pain is still there. but i figure this is from the surgery. the doctor told me it was chronic cholestisytis which was inflamation of the gallbladder he said i should be fine in a few months and back to normal. the pathology came back fine with no infection and no other serious issues. i just pray to god the reflux and severe abdominal pain doesnt come back, and yes im on a very lot fat diet and reflux diet as well. so im still alive..i have a follow up with my gastro doctor in a few months to see how im feeling.

With an ejection fraction of only 8%, your gallbladder is barely functioning.  Oh yes, that little organ can cause a whole lot of trouble when it's not working!  Your symptoms are classic for gb trouble.  Get that thing out!

In the meantime my friend, NO fatty foods.  The gallbladder stores bile from the liver which is excreted into the small intestine to aid in digesting fats.  When you eat fats, the gallbladder contracts and ejects its storage of bile.  In your case, it's trying, but just can't do the job, and you end up with exactly the symptoms you've got.  Avoiding fats will hopefully make things a bit easier for you while you await surgery, but it's no cure.

Hi, Ya  the gallbladder is a little organ but you will be surprise that little organ can make you feel horrible.....Hope things work for you.I think if after your GB is out if you feel better you know it is your GB.......If you still feel sick then it is some thing else like acid reflux........
