My GI doctor recommended a PIPIDA scan after months of gallbladder and abdominal pain. What is it exactly? Is it like an MRI? How long does it take? All he said was no food or drink (or medicine) after midnight and they will inject a
radioactiveRadioactive iodine uptake dye that will constrict your gallbladder. Sounds ok..but does it hurt? And why can't I take my morning medicine??

pipida is correct. It differs from hida by the type of radionucleid used. But I assume, there is no big difference.
