What should I ask my doctor?

I had my gallbladder removed 7 years ago. Sometimes I feel like its still there. Ifeel the same pains radiating from my upper chest throughout the middle of my back. I've been diagnosed with Ibs and hiatal hernia. I just feel it's somthing else going on. When the pain hits, I can't breahe normally. I have to breathe like I'm giving birth and I have to be totally still for the pain to pass.

Help!!!!

You need to go to the doc and ask for some tests to be run. Within a few hours of the pain hitting, ask the doc to do a liver and pancreatic enzyme panel to be done. Timing may be important in order to track changes in these parameters.  In addition, you may want to ask the the doc to do an MRCP to visualize what is going on in the biliary system to see if there are any structural changes.

A low fat diet may be of help in some cases.
