What to do?

by akpuk2000, Oct 27, 2002 12:00AM

Hello,

I'm a 24 male with no history of Colon Cancer in my family.
Last year I was going to the loo a lot (4-5 times regularly).
I also saw blood twice. This year I started seeing blood more frequently, until August time when I saw blood nearly every time. I finally decided to go to the doctor....
I started reading about Colon Cancer and was convinced I had it. I decided to undergo the regular tests (colonoscopy etc... ) as a damage limitation exercise. I had my colonoscopy last month and he said "There was no cancer" and stated that he saw an inflammtion which was probably Crohn's Disease. He then saw me a couple of weeks later and said that biopsy results confirm the inflammation, but it indicated colitis.
I am also having pains in my liver area, and of late seem to have some ascites and my urine has become dark. I am still convinced that I have colon cancer which has spread to my liver. My local doctor isn't interested in me. What do I do ????

If I had colitis/Crohn's how could this screw up my liver and give me ascites?

Thanks
