I don't know what to do and just want to cry. When I was 14 I had a gastroplasty where they stapled my stomach but left an opening. I was the youngest at the time to have a weight loss surgery. This did not work. When I was 17 I went back and had a lap band put in. Back then, this band didn't expand and contact. In 2004 I had this reversed because scar tissue had built up around this ring causing me not to keep food down. I also had a tummy tuck as I had excess skin. After this surgery my life has been so hard. I developed severse constipation. I did a transist test that showed that things took over 2 weeks to pass. I live in the Chicago/Milwaukee area, but traveled to a doctor willing to do adhesion surgery to see if that would help. I saw him 3 times. I had 2 adhesion surgeries and a gallbladder surgery which did nothing. The last surgery I had was a subtotal colectomy
which I am grateful for. I do not get as bloated as I once did. I still feel bad though. My stomach hurts from the weight loss reverse surgery/tummy tuck as if my skin is attached to my stomach. I get bloated and I've put on alot of weight. I wish they could do a weight loss surgery on me that would make me not bloated anymore. What would you do? I'm lucky I have children to live for, because they keep me going to try and find an answer. My local doctor doesn't want to do anything.
Also, after about 4pm I start to get so hungry that I over eat(I'm not hardly hungery all day, so I feel it's some sort of insulin
resistance thing-I only eat low carb as carbs make me hungery constantly) Once I over eat in the evening, I find that I have to get sick because my stomach will be in horrible pain the next day and also I've eaten way too much and will continue to gain weight...which I'm doing anyway. I just want my digestive system fixed.
Tyblossom, I don't mean to sound harsh when I say this, but not eating all day is just not right. It's no wonder your body is having a hard time. You've put it in starvation mode by not eating small, sensible meals, so any food it does take in and it's going to act like it's going to store every calorie it can get.
eating plan and stick to it. If that means eating small portions 6 times a day, do so.
There is no simple solution to losing weight and keeping it off. It's a constant, daily 'struggle' and it needs to become a habit. There are very few people in this world who are 'naturally' thin and healthy. It takes work.
