What's going on?

by todzo, Mar 13, 2009 02:44PM
I had my gallbladder removed laproscopically on March 10th.  I spike a fever to 102.8 at the hopital the day after and was started on zosyn. (I had ancef preoperatively and 3 additional doses after surgery).  I have a persistant pain in my right upper quadrant, in my lower rib cage and it doesn't really move at all.  I had a negative HIDA scan, my chest xray is clear and my WBC count was 12.0.  The fevers have remained -- never returning to normal and as high as 102.  In addition I have cellulitis where my initial IV was started.  My liver enzymes are all mildly elevated including, an ALT of 175, AST of 82, a direct bili of 0.35 and a total bili fo 1.2.  Should I be concerned that the temp is coming from the gallbladder surgery or the cellulitis?  Please help.
