White Stool Today PLEASE ADVISE!!

Hello, my name is Josh and I am a 32 year old who is way too inactive and do not have a great diet or alcohol drinking record.  I know, I know.  I need to ask this question, because google has me terrified! My first stool of the day was brown like normal, then the most recent 1.5 stools have been light yellow/white.  I have never experienced this before and all the results online point to liver issues or cancer of some sort.  I have had full blood work run less than a year ago and my doctor told me my liver was very healthy.  The past week or so I have had recurring back/nerve pain so I have taken prescription strength IBprofen and muscle relaxers, which is the only unusual thing.  I feel fine in every other respect.  Last night I had a thin crust feta cheese and spinach pizza and today had a butter bagel and pulled pork sandwich.  I am now so terrified that it is something horrible.  Anyone that can provide any insight would be thanked profusely! How long before I go to a doctor?

Yes, I absolutely agree. Acholic feces (that's the medical term for feces like you describe) would make me think first and foremost of gallstones. CalGal is right - an ultrasound of the gallbladder and bile ducts would be a good idea.

Josh, you may be experiencing a lesser amount of bile release from the common bile duct. They yellow-green stuff mixes with the food you take in and as the food/bile/enzyme 'mix' moves through, the color changes from yellow-green to brown and colors the fecal material that's finally released. It's possible that the meds you took may have contributed to it.

Are you sure the back pain might not be signaling that something is slightly off? It is pain/discomfort associated with your upper right quadrant? If so, you may want to call your doc and mention what's going on and ask to have some tests run to rule out the possiblity of gallbladder or other dysfunction.
