White goo comes out when I poo. Also need water to clean!

I have not visited a doctor but I have these problems when taking a poo.

I always need to clean my anus with water otherwise it never gets clean.
The poo never gets out solid or in one piece, rather, the opposite. Some times solid pieces come out but always followed with smaller chunks. Other times its always only small chunks.

I have a regular basis of going to the loo. Mornings and evenings. And it's always with coffee and a cigarette.

The white goo comes only some times and after I have used water to clean my self.

How serious is this?
This has been happening for more than 3 years.

Is this stuff truly white or is it more clear? It sounds like mucous - and this seems to sometimes occur when the intestines are inflamed or there are obstructions - thus forcing mucous out with the feces. If you've been constipated, you may need to add fiber and veg to your diet if you haven't done so already.

Sounds like you should get it checked out if it concerns you enough to post it online. Check with your family doctor.

What had concerned me the most is the need for water to clean.
But, going to the doctor is something I have to do.
