Why am I having pains from my bowel operation area??

Hello doctor, hope you can advise me on what to do next. Im a female and in my early twenties. In late October I had an emergency operation for an intususception and the surgeon said he found 2 benign tumours.
In the past few months I have been slowly recovering from the operation. During this time I had rather bad constipation and this slowly changed to daily diahorrea. Then in the past two weeks I have had serious pain coming from my wound area and visited my GP who said its normal to have bowel spasms after such an complex operation and prescribed me merbervine to calm the bowel- this hasnt done anything to help me. Now im having serious stabbing pains from my bowel, lost of appetite and bloody stools.
Could this pain being coming my incision or the actually bowel? Any suggestions on what could be causing this?
I really dont want to go to the doctor if its nothing to worry about.
