Why do I have stomach Pain?

by happygirl49221, Mar 03, 2009 01:00AM
I have had severe stomach pain now for going on 9 yrs. I am going to be 49. I woke up one morning with my stomach bloated and in complete pain. I thought it would go away and it hasn't yet ! I have been to many doctors and so far I dont know what is wrong still. I am growing tired of being in pain. I have never had a real weight problem and now I have gained  over 65 pounds. I was telling the doctor I am gaining weight and he never took it serious. Now this last month he asked me why I have gained so much weight. I am so tired of doctors. They dont care if I am suffering. I think they cant see it then it is not anything to worry about. I am about to lose my mind over this. I have tried and tried to be optimistic. I keep telling myself month after month I will get better..year after year. I dont think it is ever going to happen. I cant do much. My relationship with my boyfriend is suffering because of it. My relationships with friends are over. You cant keep up your life when you can barely function. I wish I could tell someone on here an answer. I wish I could find someone who cares. But I cant. I have been through every test. Now I have lost my job and have no insurance. Mind you I voted for Obama and hope for universal healthcare.I dont know what is wrong with me..doctors say nothing is wrong. I read everything I can all the time. I am on pain killers which I want to get off of. Can anyone help me?

Hi, I'm a nutritionist.  You didn't say if you get any kind of burning with your stomach pain or if it is worse or better after eating.  And are you sure it's your stomach and not your colon or small intestines?  Or, both?  I would see a holistic dr.  Have him test you for yeast.  Also, have him do a test called a Heidelberg Gastrogram (google this).  I'm sorry your suffering so.  I know what it's like to suffer for years and not know why.  I have learned that, if traditional dr's can't find the answer, than the next thing to do is to go see a good holisitc dr.  And remember, God cares.  I'll say a prayer for you, I promise.  Good luck!

Just wanted to lend my support as well and let you know I care. I too have endured on and off gastro problems for years. Time and again, I've been told it's "just stress" or it's been implied that it's all in my head. Meanwhile, I am currently suffering with the worst pain I have ever endured at least once a week. I'm not giving up until I get to the bottom of it. Don't you either!
