Yeast in the Stomach

Hello,

My mother had a liver transplant 2 weeks ago and has developed yeast in the stomach.  They have gone back into the OR to do a fungal wash.  Things seem to be good and now they are talking about doing it again today or tomorrow.

Where is she getting this yeast in the stomach and how do you cure it?

She has been on a vent since the surgery but all her vitals are great and she was on a very low sedatation because they thought they were going to start to wake her up from the surgery.

I would love an answer or someone who has gone through this.   This is crazy and doesnt understand how she got this being in the transplant ICU.
