Yellow Stool, Yellow Diarrhea

For past couple of weeks have been having alternating yellow stool, and yellow diarrhea.  And pain lower left abdomin (abdomen).  Went to the ER, they said nothing to worry about.  Went to gp doctor, and he ordered stool samples, but will not get results for up to 48 hours.

now have developed occasional chills, once or twice a day. and lite colored foamy urine.  Pain in abdomin (abdomen) about a 1-2. on pain scale.

Had diarrhea, so did brat diet (bananas, rice, applesauce, toast) then had solid stool, both yellow,  went back to normal diet, now have diarrhea again.  When I eat lettuce, it doesn't seem to get digested.

not sure I can make thru the weekend without having some sort of answer.

I've been having the same symptoms except accompanied by yellow mucous.  I've had it for 4 weeks now and it started the night I had a huge anxiety attack.  I am very nervous and am unable to go to the doctor.  I actually just posted something not long after you, if you could have a look.  When your test results come back in, could you please let me know what they are?  I am very worried and not sure if it is anxiety related or something else.

Anxiety and yellow stoll and mucus in stoll = IBS

well it could be that!!

Since IBS is not related to stress but can be increased by it...and also IBS is a serotonine probleme, and since serotonine (lack of) provoques anxiety....

maybe you could check for that!

I am a male 22 years of age and Andreax I've had similar problems. It could be an adenovirus as I've had bronchitis, gastroinestinal problems(similar discomfort in my abdomen(gas), runny stools on and off even with the banana diet and immodium peptol bidmol) and ontop of this I've had mild ear congestion, mold conjuctivitiis in my right eye and a mild burning and slightly foamy yet light colored bubble bath urine.the urine and burning suggest mild urinary Tracy infection however can also be caused by the gastroenteritis. I've even had a very mild rash from time to time. ALL of these symptoms appear to be caused by an adenovirus so I wouldn't worry. Best to let your lymphocytes fight off the virus without anti b or anti v medications. If symptoms persist though or worsen or you get a strange headahe that lasts for more than twenty four hours it could be viral meningitis and you should go see your doctor. Hope this helps!
