a reaction to Alli

I was diagnosed years ago with Divitculosus without any stomach complaints. I was actually having a sonogram of my uterus when the technician happened upon the pocket in my colon. I never had any problems until recently, coincidentally while taking the weight loss suplement Alli.
After the first flare-up I was unable to make any connection with anything I ate but after the 2nd one, I did a little investigating and found that there are literally hundreds complaining of the very same problem, Alli and diverticulitis.
I'm wondering if there is anyone on the forum who has used the product and had the same reaction?

Just an FYI

I've never taken this product, but after reading up on it, it makes sense why a person with diverticulosis (condition) would develop diverticulitis (inflamation of the condition)...

If you are not breaking down fat than it is subject to fall into the pouches along the intestine.  We eat fiber to use as a kind of "chore girl" effect to clean out the intestinal pouches.  That's on a normal basis.  But if you already have diverticulosis than the pouches are much larger than normal and fat being a sticky goo, and not absorbed prior to going into the intestine due to this drug, would linger and eventually fester the area where they are laying promoting inflamation.

Does that help any?
