acid reflux

Does anyone know if the nissan wrap is done on your stomach or back? I have to have a 2 or more level fusion and am wondering if I can do them both at the same time. I know that the fusion is done on your back but I also know that with the two proceedures it might be too much to have done at one time. I have read some of the horror stories about the nissan wrap both all of them were 5-7 years ago and I believe that the surgery has been getting more and more common which would lead me to believe the complications from this surgery have been less with experience. I am on prevacid daily with sometimes taking an extra dose if I get the acid reflux at night. It is getting worse as I am waking up coughing sometimes to the point of vomiting. I will them get a gurgling sound in my chest for a couple of days with having a hard time breathing. I have been diagnosed with a hietal hernia and have had a couple of endoscopys with everything looking ok down there so far but I am worried that if this keeps up that I will get some of the other problems that go with acid reflux, ie. barretts/esophogial cancer. Any help would be appreciated at this point in my life(53). Thanks
