acute pancreatitis and still having pain

by kt14dad, Jun 18, 2009 02:21PM
I had a stent put in my bile duct near the small intestine 3 weeks ago and my doctor removed it one week later indicating that it shouldn't be left in. Three days later I was in the emergency room with severe stomach pain, and my lipase count was 12,000 and it dropped to 7,000 the next day. I was released less than 48 hours from my intake time and although I feel somewhat better my stomach still has a discomfort feeling and I really don't want to eat in fear that I might make things worst.
Should my doctor have left in the stent and should I be feeling better 10 days after my emergency room visit?
