advice on treatment

by paddy2002, May 25, 2002 12:00AM
i have been diagnosed with an islet patch of glandular ectopic mucosa high up in my esophagus just below my oropharynx, the complications that accompany this condition are horrendous and very hard to live with. i have to stay on nexium for the rest of my life as the patch produces acid that ulcerates my gullet and the consultant says they wont operate as they would have to open my whole chest to get at the esophagus,to big an operation are his words,i know this condition can turn mallignant and that PDT therapy may bbe able to help me ,so i would appreciate it if anybody can give me some advice or info on this condition or treatment of it    regards PADDY.
