after gallbladder removal pain is back with added symptoms

I had my gallbaldder removed 3 months ago. The full name was Gallbladder,Cholecystectomy: Eosinophilic Cholecystitis with Cholelithiasis. This is a rare entity with an unclear significance and the etiology remains obscure. My doctors do not know why I caught/developed this. My lab results show other inflammatory cells are present, but eosinophils predominate and are significantly more than in the usual chronic cholecystitis. I have no idea what any of this means. I do know that I did not have stones but "sludge". I just started having the same horrible pains in my side, back, etc. I have also developed a huge belching, bloating and gas problem along with headaches.I am watching everything I eat and taking pancreatic digestive enzyms and acidophilus. My doctor seems to take my concerns lightly. He is trying to ease my mind by taking a blood test every three months to check for allergies. For what I do not know. Can you offer any advice on what my next step or questions should be? I have two small children, a full time job and I am finding it very difficult to cope and get through each day in pain. Thank you for any help you may give.

An ultrasound to evaluate for biliary duct dilatation can be considered.  An MRCP can also be done to look for biliary duct stones.

You can also consider Sphincter of Oddi dysfunction.  Symptoms of this disease can manifest more significantly in those without gallbladders.  An ERCP with Sphincter of Oddi manometry can be considered.

If negative, you can consider evaluating the upper GI tract with an upper endoscopy.

These options can be discussed with your personal physician.

Followup with your personal physician is essential.

It was a serious kidney infection. The symtoms felt just like gallbadder pain. I went to the hospital and they gave me morphine, antibiotics and prescriptions for home. All is better now:)
