you could have retained stones in the biliary tract.  You should call your surgeon or dr. soon.  Tell them what you're feeling and insist on an appointment to get checked out.  I know that a stone left behind during surgery can be very painful.  Good luck.

Hi,

Did you find out what the problem was? I hope you're feeling better. I had my surgery on the 24th (January), and I was feeling a little better for about two days. I started with jello, toast, and eventually added rice! Big mistake. The rice takes forever to digest, and I'm in more pain now than before the surgery :-(. There is burning that radiates all the way to my throat, and a pain in the stomach. They put me on Aciphex, but no ease yet. I hope nothing else is wrong.

The surgeon said that the gallbladder was inflamed but he didn't cut it open, and couldn't say if there were stones.
