Why is it that my little right hand finger and half of the one next to it goes numb with pins and needles after alcohol.Not a heavy drinker,occasional, 33 yr old male.
Anyone ??

.................Check your neck, whenever there is tingling feelings, numbness, etc etc it could be a nerve being compressed on your neck. I would get x rays done asap. As per your alcohol consumption so long you dont mix it with medication it shouldnt be a reason to be concerned.

i have the same problem my left hand and some of the arm is numb.the only spine problem is in my lower back. what i wonder is can you have something pinching in your neck and have pain there?

........Whenever you have a neck (cervical) disc either dehydrated or herniated this does allows your bones to press on your nerves causing trouble from the tip of your finger to your shoulder and neck. A lower (lumbar) condition does not and will not cause any trouble on your hands it generally radiates to one of your legs, this being a sciatic nerve condition. A simple x ray would find out what is exactly going on with your hand trouble. Another extremely common hand condition (due to repetitive trauma) is called the Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, which can be also painful, repetitive trauma or over usage of your hands due to work conditions typically triggers this condition.
