Deere, see the doc again and find out if the doc's office can appeal the insurance company's denial. It's worth a try.

I have a stricture that is blocking the opening to my stomach. I have been seeing a GI dr since last July, when I 1st started having trouble keeping some food down. Now I can only get liquid down(only about 2 ozs every 4 hrs). The GI dr tried going down with a scope in March but couldnt get in my stomach due to the blockage. He referred me to a surgeon which said I needed to have surgery. Was scheduled for the surgery but it got cancelled because my insurance denied benefits because they said its a complication of gastric bypass(which I had 6 yrs ago) . I dont know what to do now there is no way I can pay for myself. I dont wont to live the rest of my life like this- I have been dehydrated several times and have had to get fluid and I stay tired and weak all of the time. any suggestions

Ulcerations can cause inflammation and result in scar-formation-inducing strictures/problems in some areas of the body.
