What antibiotic helps with infection of the diverticula ?

The standard regimen for diverticulitis is the combination of Ciprofloxacin and Flagyl. These are given for 10-14 days. A CT scan can be considered for further evaluation.
If there is an allergy to Cipro, Augmentin can also be used.
