any ideas appreciated

I have been dealing with abdominal pain about 7 months. It is under my right rib cage/abdomen. It feels like a knawing pain and it is constant. Never really goes away. It seems to get worse after I eat, and exrememly worse if I don't eat at all. Wearing tight clothes such as jeans or work pants with a waistline make the pain unbearable. It also is bad when I sit at my desk for an extended amount of time. It has become impossible for me to bear working. It is really debilitating my life. I have had ultrasounds done, and the doctor said i had gallstones but that they weren't causing this pain because attacks would be sudden and worse than just a constant pain. I also had a stomach ulcer and found out yesterday that it is cured. The doctor now believes anxiety may be causing this pain. I just don't feel like that is right. I feel like no one understands the pain I am in or the stuff I am going through. I havent felt like myself in months. Any ideas would be appreciated...

P.S.  we are all individuals, I don't think it is fair for any doc to say it can't be the gallstones causing you the pain...if you have sensitive nerves in that location why wouldn't it cause some pain?  Just saying.  Also folks with stones in their gallbladder sometimes get them in their ducts as well and I am quickly learning that the tests done to find them sometimes miss them.  Keep researching and going to doc to find out what's going on.

Hi, you might want to go to my profile page and read the journals I am keeping about my upper abdominal pain that has gone on and on and undiagnosed, just so you don't feel alone.  But also perhaps there is some helpful info in there you may relate to.  I don't know.  But it could hurt.  You are not alone, I can tell you that.  I think there is also and area where you can click on my posts as well not just my journals, in case you might find my journals overwhelming...some are lengthy and may be too much information.  But if you can navigate my profile page you might find something useful.  That is one of the reasons I am keeping the journals ...to possibly help others having a similar experience.  I find it interesting the number of folks going through such similar health issues without managing to get a diagnosis.  I pray you get the medical help you need. Blessings, Rhonda
