ast and alt levels

I am a 51 year old female I am a Diabetic I take Guyburide and I take Lisinopril for high blood pressure. I just had my blood work done and my levels came back as 90-ast and 158 alt. I don't drink or smoke I changed my diet to no fats or at lease almost no fats. Can you tell me what I should be asking my Dr. to do to find out what is wrong? And should I be hurting or sick with these levels?

The liver function tests are moderately elevated. There are a variety of causes for this, including alcohol, medications, infectious liver diseases such as hepatitis, liver masses, fatty liver are just a few.
I would first go over your medications to evaluate if any of them can affect the liver. Other tests to consider would be a hepatitis screen and liver ultrasound. The ultrasound would be helpful in diagnosing liver masses as well as the gall bladder system.
If all the tests are negative, one can either repeat the tests in a few months to see if they continue to elevate, or discuss a liver biopsy to definitively see if there is any disease causing the enzymes to be elevated.
These options should be discussed with your personal physician.
Followup with your personal physician is essential.
