back and lower stomach pain

im a 48 yr old male.  ive been having lower stomach pain and back pain for 3 weeks now.  it comes and goes.  last time it stayed for 2 weeks, went away for 1 week and now its back.  any anwsers?

If the symptom is chronic or recurrent (and it sounds like it is), you should definitely see a doctor. It could be some type of pancreatic inflammation, especially if the pain is more on the left side of your stomach and back. But there are lots of other possibilities, too--always best to get it checked out.
