I recenly had my gall bladder removed along with livercomplications i.e. had a third tube from liver which ws too large to cut and tie so had to be sewn into my large intestine, what should have been a 2hr op lasted 7 and a weeks stay in hospital. My problem now is quite severe right side backpain, along with a pulling sensation under right rib cage.

Cuppy, I'm not sure what you're describing, but the only tube that typically would be tied into the intestine - and it would be the duodenum and not the large intestine - would be the common bile duct. So from what you're saying, it sounds like there were problems and in some way the common bile duct was compromised. In order to repair the damage, it sounds like the moved the usual position of the common bile duct and restitched it elsewhere - but it's hard to tell from what you've said.

Do you have a better descripton of what was done? Because from what you're describing it sounds like you might be having spasms of the common bile duct, and that condition is typically called sphincter of Oddi dysfunction (SOD).
