been constipated and loosing weight

i have been constipated i would call chronically , and i beleive due to being packed , that nutrients arent being absorbed and im loosing a great deal of weight , can anyone relate to me if so your input would be greatly appreciated thank you

Welcome to the gastroenterology community!  Have you seen a doctor about this?  Have you had any testing done?  What have to tried to help it?

hello , yes i did see my dr for this and all he does is push laxatives , and litres of go lytley on me , he said that my methadone im on 45 mls is the cause , but being packed up for as long as i have been you think he would of had me cleaned out at the hospital i asked him about that and he said whats the sense it will just return , i have done alot to try and fix the problem increased fiber , lots of water lots of walking and exercise and eating as healthy as i can although i slip and eat junk sometime , i also saw a surgeon he pushed laxatives no tests , and i saw a internalist she had me take a barium enema the day of the test i had a terrible clean out night before and i told them that at the hospital but they still filled me with barium just to tell me what i already new i was packed , day bye day i pray for a bm but nothing but little bit poodle sized bm i am at wits end , isaid to my md i must be being poisoned from this he replied i am well clean me out at the hospital he said no, then i asked for a food sensitivity test he said no , so im sitting here at christmas miserable and packed thanks doc may your christmas be just great lol any suggestions would be greatlt appreciated thanks
