Gufu, make sure your doctor has done a full blood work up on your daughter.  Normal white counts are usually 5,000-10,000.  Your daughter's is on the high end and white counts generally go up when infection is present.  Also check for other symptoms such as fatigue, diarrhea, easy bruising, distended abdomen and paleness as that can point to a more serious problem.  I hope she gets well soon and that it is not serious.
