You did not post a question so I assume that you are asking about the complications of Bilroth 1 surgery. A Bilroth1 procedure involves removal of the antrum and pylorus and reattacment of the stomach remnant to the duodenum. (IN a Bilroth II procedure the stomach remnant is attached to another part of the small intestine). Complications of Bilroth1 surgery include abdominal cramps and diarrhea fter eating,
dumpingDumping syndrome syndrome, and weight loss. Ulcer recurrence is very unusual, happening in less that 1% of patients having this surgery.
