biopsy or endoscope

biopsy or endoscope

In regards to the patient, she is a female, aged sixty-five, with diabetes& controlled hypertension. Full blood analysis results showing no problems and normal,  however, CT scan showed enlargement in lymphatic nodes in abdomen area. It was observed that the patient showed lowered hemoglobin level, about 8, upon that she was hospitalized to investigate the reason for lowered hemoglobin, in addition WBCs were 14.
It was suggested that patient undergo a biopsy for the enlarged lymph nodes, we need your recommendation for the following:
 Is there anyway to avoid biopsy and check& diagnose otherwise(e.g  undergo an upper endoscope
 We came to know that there is a probability to have the need to open a wider wound, because here they told us this might happen
 What about the probability of having the whole process in your esteemed hospital, duration of stay, total cost and any other indirect cost?
