Your liver biopsy is done after a local anesthetic is applied to the area. They probably will take it from the lower lobe by the lower ribs. They insert a special syringe type instrument with a spring retraction device. They simply pop the syringe and the needle goes in and back out in a fraction of a second. They had to do mine twice because the first sample didn't stick together in a string. Don't worry! Worry about things you have control over and leave the rest to God.
