bloating & stabbing pain, any ideas?

I don't know if this is colitis,  and I have several symptoms that seem to occur together,  but it makes no sense to me (as far as what it could mean).  I have this bloating going on,  way high up right underneath my chest.  I also have a stabbing pain that comes with it,  in my lower right abdomen,  right around where I think my appendix are.  I have ruled out appendicitis,  because it comes & goes and has been goin on for about a month.  I also have explosive diahrea every morning,  but then that goes away.  A little later in the day I start feeling bloated,  then the stabbing pain comes.  If I push on the spot where the stabbing pain is,  it goes away for a while.  Also,  if I sit down for a while it goes away.  It seems like the more I move around,  the worse it hurts.  Any ideas?

I have had a stabbing pain that shoots from the lower right area , up and into my right side- at the waist.
2 years ago I was in the er thinking it was the appendix.
The pain went away in one day.
NOw it happens about once a month. SEVERE pain that starts at the right waist. then shoots to the lower right.
I had to literally stop walking on my treadmill the other day.. It feels like a knitting needle is shooting thru my body.
Do the intestines go all the way around to your side??
It almost feels like it could be a kidney.
Could this be gas pains for us?
It niggles me before I even get out of bed sometimes.

I have no mucous or bleeding.  I went & had a pap smear,  and a pelvic ultrasound,  thinking maybe it was female problems.  the pap came back normal,  and the pelvic came back normal I guess,  they have never called me to say otherwise.  The doctor said she doesn't think it's my appendix.  I don't know,  but I have no insurance,  and can't afford to go to umpteen-million doctors & having all sorts of tests,  looking for the problem.

As mentioned it could be your appendix, but it could be colitis as well. Crohn's disease is often misdiagnosed with it because of the simular symptoms. Do you have any mucous or bleeding? Both are symptoms of colitis. The pain you are describing is also a symptom. You need to have blood work and a colonscopy to get things checked out.

It could still be your appendix, and you need to see a doctor.  A bad appy doesn't always present with continuous severe pain in the lower right quadrant.
