blockage in bowels

blockage in bowels

Yesterday I had an endoscopy done and I really have 2 questions here.  I had a IV connected to my hand and was that for pain or sleep. Reason I'm asking is I was completely awake and it hurt, was even told to breath in and out so I'm confused???

Second question is that I was hearing them saying it seemed blocked about where the small and large intestines connect.  Had 2 nurses pushing and squeazing my stomach while the the technicion tried to push the camera on through but it wouldn't so it's incomplete.  This procedure is the last step before getting the paperwork sent to Washington DC for approval.  Could I please get some kind of clear answears from here please..

The IV had a tranquilizer type medicine in it, so you wouldn't naturally be too frightened when your airway was compromised.  I don't know why they couldn't get the scope all the way through, that might require a CAT scan or ultrasound procedure, to find out what it is, or maybe they'll try the endoscope again at a later date, but in any case, they'll reschedule you for whatever they decide to do about the situation.  So, you need to find out what's next.  I responded to your other post, where you said you would call them, which is a good idea.
