I think your question is somewhat theoretical because you cannot see inside your bowels. However, I suspect that your question may be more accurately phrased as "what causes someone to emit blood ex their rectum?". Yes??
If I have interpreted you correctly then rectal bleeding is never normal and should always be investigated and medical advice taken For causes/symptoms/treatment etc then type "rectal bleeding" into google/yahoo etc and there are many websites which elaborate.
Unless your doctor can reassure you that the cause is minor (such as haemorrhoids, anal fissure etc) I suggest that you ask for a colonoscopy.
