I think your question is somewhat theoretical because you cannot see inside your bowels. However, I suspect that your question may be more accurately phrased as "what causes someone to emit blood ex their rectum?". Yes??
Unless your doctor can reassure you that the cause is minor (such as haemorrhoids, anal fissureAnal fissure etc) I suggest that you ask for a colonoscopy.

If I have interpreted you correctly then rectal bleeding is never normal and should always be investigated and medical advice taken For causes/symptoms/treatment etc then type "rectal bleeding" into google/yahoo etc and there are many websites which elaborate.
