bloody stool and burping

bloody stool and burping

Two days ago, I have noticed a red blood in my stool. I did have to go off two times that day, and each time there is blood. I thought it's just because of diarrhea that there's blood. The next day, I did go off once and my stool's still loose and there's still blood but this time it's darker (maroon). I haven't gone off since then but i still feel discomfort on my stomach and I burp more often than usual. Should I consult a doctor now, is this an emergency? Is it possible that all of this is because I just eaten something bad and will go away as soon as I've withdrawn all of it? I'm really scared but I don't have the luxury to go to the doctor now. Any help would be appreciated.

I really urge you to see a doctor. Get your GP to either do a DRE and/or an anoscopy/sigmoidoscopy or refer you to a GI doc for further investigation.

Red or maroon stools could be from something benign, such as eating red-colored foods, or
it could be caused by several different conditions, including hemorrhoids, anal fissures, colon polyps or colon cancer, diverticular bleeding, or inflammatory bowel disease.

You didn't mention if there was any pain attached to the movements, but you should get it checked.
