bravo proceedure

I am scheduled for this proceedure in a few weeks and scared to death.....Has anyone had it done and found it not to be so bad?

Sue, it's not a bad procedure at all, but it can have some uncomfortable features. The placement of the capsule if it's done in the US is usually done with sedation, so you won't know it has been done, or is going on. Afterwards, with the presence of the capsule, you may feel a tugging sensation or 'lump in the throat' feeling even though the capsule is much further down in the esophagus. That feeling may persist for quite awhile after the capsule has detatched, and it's annoying but not impossible to live with.
