breathing trouble......is this GERD?

breathing trouble......is this GERD?

For the past 3 months I have been having trouble breathing. It comes and goes. It feels like I have to try really hard to take a deep breath. It also,at times, hurts when I take a deep breath. It feels like the brathing tube hurts or is clogged. When I lay down, I can actually hear a weezing noise. I went to the emergency room several times and the last time they said it could be GERD. My Doctor agreed without tests and put me on Prvicid twice a day. I have been on that for about 2 1/2 months. It is still there. Does this sound like GERD or could it be something else?

i have gerd but i made sure test were ran to confirm it the doctor i had at the time said you have gerd and did not want to run test . i felt it was my heart also and went to another doctor a low and behold i also have heart problems .my point is no one including a doctor can be sure with out running proper test .get a second opion !!!!
