burping and pain in esophagus
I have been experiencing pain in my esophagus, as if i swallowed a foriegn object. Which I most certainly did NOT. I went to Urgent Care yesterday and they did an X-ray and found nothing. It hurts like the pain when you swallow too hard and then it throbs afterwards...that is the type of pain it is. Only a bit more severe. My throat is not sore, and it hurts to swallow, but no more than it does even if I do not swallow?
What could this BE????

It could be from acid reflux. Burping may be from H. pylori infection of the stomach, or from pylorostenosis - slow gastric emptying.

Gastroenterologist, or maybe even your primary may order a blood test for H. pylori.

Avoid acidic foods and drinks, fruits, sodas, alcohol, aspirin, hot spices...
